Ingredients for making Chicken curry.

Lets start with listing the ingredients for making Chicken curry.

  1. Fresh Chicken  1/2 kg
  2. Cooking oil  2 tablespoon
  3. Finely chopped onion  2 medium sized
  4. Finely chopped tomato 2 medium sized
  5. Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Ginger garlic 2 teaspoon
  9. Meat masala 1 teaspoon
  10. Pepper powder 1 pinch
  11. Chopped green chili as per taste
  12. Red chili powder as per taste
  13. Salt as per taste

Steps for making Chicken curry in Nepali style.

  1. At first, heat a cooking oil in a frying pan and fry the chopped onion until it becomes brown color.
  2. When Onion becomes brown color add the Chicken pieces and stir it well.Cover the pan and cook the chicken till all the oil gets released from meat.
  3. After that add turmeric powder and other ingredients like coriander powder, cumin powder,red chili powder,ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. After adding tomatoes immediately add salt and stir well. Cover the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  4. If Chicken is nearly cooked add the meat masala and stir it. Now pour one and half cup of water for gravy and  cover the pan and cook it for 5 minutes. Now uncover the pan and garnish it with finely chopped green coriander leaves.

Note –  All cooking steps 1-2-3-4 is done in medium flame.
