Thukpa

Thukpa is a noodle soup that is made with a mixture of vegetables and meat. Here meat is optional. Thukpa is very popular in Himalaya region and now a days Thukpa is famous among various parts of the world.

Equipment

  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 Cooking pan

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams Tibetan noodles
  • 50 grams Ginger
  • 50 Grams Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 1 medium sized Onion
  • 100 grams Mushroom
  • 100 grams Carrot
  • 100 grams Capsicum
  • 100 grams Cabbage
  • 1 medium sized Tomato
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • .5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • Fresh Coriander leaves for garnishing.

Instructions
 

  • Fist of all boil Tibetan noodles. After boiling it transfer to the strainer and drain it.
  • Julienne all vegetables like Onion, Carrot, Capsicum and Cabbage.
  • Heat an oil in a cooking pan. Now add finely chopped ginger and garlic.
  • Add julienne Onion and stir for 2-3 minutes. Now add mushroom and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Now add carrot, capsicum and tomato puree. Cover the cooking pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Uncover the pan and add the boiled Tibetan noodle along with remaining ingredients like black pepper, red chili powder and salt as per taste.
  • Add 3 Cup of water and stir it. Its turn to add Cabbage and soy sauce. Cover the pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Now your Thukpa is ready. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy with your family and friends.
